Fair Isle Finish

Mocha Spice Fair Isle Vest. I CAN get something finished if I put my mind to it, or have a compelling reason! Being a "process" knitter, though, finished items seem few and far between.

So I couldn't be happier that this vest is finished. And I like it! I knitted this as a result of a Fair Isle swatching class I taught at The Yarn Patch (link on my sidebar) in February. For those who chose to do so, they could use the swatch created in the class to plan and knit a vest. So I did.

This is Harrisville New England Shetland in 4 colors, using simple peerie patterns. My own pattern, which really wasn't so much a pattern as a process. I remembered how much I like Fair Isle knitting, and I have another vest already in the works.

Sandra, this is GORGEOUS!!! You're set for the fall.

I know what you mean about being a process knitter. I think we should be assigned with folks who are concerned with projects being finished. All that weaving in of ends and sewing of seams - tedium!

That looks really nice! And as if it were insanely complicated. Which I'm sure it's not..
