On my summer vacation......

I visited the home of my favorite hand-dyed yarns.

I knitted socks.

So, how much did you come home with from mountain yarns?? Hmmm??

Not so much as you'd expect! I stayed under $100. And since they don't actually sell retail, what they have to sell on site are mill ends and end of dye runs. Wonderful bargains to be found, though. Lots of the mill end stuff, much of it souvenirs for my friends. But enough Bearfoot for two pair of socks, and enough Twizzle for something like a hat and mitten set or some such. And then some end of dye lot regular sized skeins, again mostly as souvenirs.

But the BIGGEST thrill was walking into their showroom and seeing all their colorways in one place!

Love the socks. It's almost enough to fool me into thinking that I should be a sock knitter!
